Privacy Policy

Effective: April 21, 2026 · Last updated: April 21, 2026

1. Overview

Fuzzly ("we", "our", or "the app") is designed from the ground up to protect your privacy. The core principle is simple: your photos never leave your device. All detection and blurring is performed locally using on-device machine learning models.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights — in plain language.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store:

  • Your photos, images, or any visual content
  • The text detected in your images (faces, numbers, emails, etc.)
  • Your name, email address, or any identity information
  • Your location or GPS coordinates
  • Your device's contact list, calendar, or any other personal data

There is no Fuzzly server that receives your images. This is not a policy choice alone — it is a technical reality. The app contains no upload functionality.

2.2 Information That May Be Collected by Third Parties

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Those platforms may collect analytics per their own privacy policies (device type, purchase history, crash reports). We do not control or have access to that data.

If you purchase a Pro subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not receive your payment details.

2.3 Crash Reports

If the app crashes, the operating system may offer to send a diagnostic report to Apple or Google. These reports may contain non-personal technical data (device model, OS version, stack trace). This data is governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policies, not ours.

3. How We Use Information

Because we do not collect personal information, there is nothing to "use" for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose. Any app-internal state (such as your blur style preferences) is stored locally on your device using iOS/Android secure storage.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. We have no data to share.

In the event we receive a valid legal request (subpoena, court order) for user data, there is nothing we could provide — we simply do not hold it.

5. Data Retention

All processing is on-device. Edited images are only saved if you explicitly tap "Export" or "Save to Photos". Fuzzly does not retain any copy of your images.

6. Children's Privacy

Fuzzly is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at support@fuzzly.xyz.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, or portability of your personal data. Because we do not collect or store personal data, these rights are effectively satisfied by default. If you have questions, email us at support@fuzzly.xyz.

8. GDPR (European Users)

Fuzzly does not act as a data controller or data processor for your personal information, because we do not process personal data. The app's operation does not trigger GDPR obligations on our part with respect to your image data.

9. CCPA (California Users)

We do not sell personal information. We do not collect personal information as defined by the CCPA.

10. Security

Because all data stays on your device, the security of your images depends on your device's own security (screen lock, encryption). We encourage you to keep your device software up to date and to use a strong passcode.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or App Store release notes.
